Cotswold Cooking and Eating:

IMG_8864

Cooking is wonderful but sometimes it is even better when someone else does it for you, especially when they are talented and dedicated to their craft. So if you would like us to organise a special picnic for you; or if you would like a cooking lesson here in the Cotswolds, with a kitchen gardener, food writer and cookery school teacher, let us know and we will arrange it for you. Of course, the focus will be on menus using local and seasonal Cotswold produce, with all the ingredients being organic. Here are a couple of possible menus you might work on (or eat):

SPRING
Broad bean,, pea shoots and pearled spelt salad
Slow roast pork belly with peas, artichokes and chorizo
Lemon posset

SUMMER
Pan fried mackerel with heritage tomatoes
Shoulder of lamb with white beans and salsa verde
Strawberry and mint shortbread mille feuille

ALLOTMENT PLATTER
Buttered radishes with sea salt
Broad bean and goats cheese crostini
Pea soup shots
Wild garlic and pinenut frittata

We can also organise cooking classes for children. Let us know your preferences and we will arrange it for you.

Beautifully Created Picnic Hampers

Over the Summer months, Cotswold Journeys can offer ready made picnics for collection or pick up around the Cotswolds so you can enjoy a beautiful English picnic without having to lift a finger.

What’s Included?

cotswold menu

All of the delicious dishes on the menu above. However, if there’s something you don’t like on the menu, just let us know and we will do our best to replace it.

Picnics are made to order using fresh ingredients from an allotment and come packed in recyclable or reusable pots which you can stuff inside your rucksack or arrange neatly in your picnic hamper (depending on the tone of your picnic).
